Add another trophy to Stephen Curry’s already stacked case.
The Golden State Warriors superstar was officially named the NBA’s Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year for the 2024-25 season, the league announced Monday. This award goes to the player who best represents what it means to be the ultimate teammate — selfless play, leadership on and off the court, mentoring younger guys, and just being that rock every team needs.

The cool part? It’s the players themselves who vote. After league execs put together a shortlist of 12 finalists (six from each conference), current players cast their ballots. When the dust settled, Curry edged out Houston Rockets big man Steven Adams in an insanely tight race — 1,257 points to 1,237. Knicks guard Jalen Brunson rounded out the top three.
This is Curry’s first time winning the award, which feels crazy considering everything he’s done. At 37, Steph’s still doing Steph things — he’s an 11-time All-Star, a two-time MVP, a four-time NBA champ, and the all-time king of three-pointers (he just hit the 4,000 mark last March 13, 2025 which makes him the the first NBA player to reach this milestone). Let’s not forget he also won the NBA Sportsmanship Award back in 2011. Basically, he’s been setting the gold standard for years.
Another well-deserved honor for one of the best to ever do it — both as a player and as a teammate.
