BOSTON — The New York Knicks flipped the script in Game 1, storming back from 20 points down to stun the Boston Celtics 108-105 in overtime at TD Garden.

The Celtics looked dominant early, riding a wave of home-court momentum and efficient ball movement to build a sizable lead. But New York refused to fold. Jalen Brunson took over in the second half, dropping 11 straight points during a critical stretch as the Knicks clawed their way back into it. Despite clutch buckets from Derrick White and Jrue Holiday late in regulation, Boston’s offense stalled when it mattered most. Jayson Tatum’s potential game-winner missed the mark, and the Knicks capitalized—outscoring the C’s 28-15 in the fourth and edging them 8-5 in OT.

Brunson and OG Anunoby both finished with 29 points to lead the way for New York, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 14 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in a gritty two-way effort.

For the Celtics, the deep ball turned into a nightmare. Boston went just 15-of-60 from three—an NBA playoff record for attempts, and their 45 misses now stand as the most ever in a postseason game. Tatum and Jaylen Brown each scored 23 in the loss, Holiday added 16, and Payton Pritchard gave them a lift off the bench with 13.

The Knicks now hold a 1–0 series lead heading into Game 2, which tips off Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET, once again in Boston. Can the Celtics regroup, or will New York keep stealing the spotlight?
