Stephen Curry, who struggled to find a rhythm early and was limited to just three points in the first half, came alive in the second, finishing with 22 points. Jimmy Butler added 20 of his own, contributing clutch plays in a win-or-go-home effort that underscored the resilience of Golden State’s veteran nucleus.
On the other side, Rockets guard Amen Thompson led the youthful squad with 24 points, while center Alperen Sengun powered his way to a double-double—posting 21 points and grabbing 14 boards in a valiant effort.
With the series in the rearview, the Warriors now turn their attention to the second round, where they’ll meet the rising Minnesota Timberwolves in what promises to be another fierce matchup in the NBA Playoffs.
